Love has bloomed once again on the American Idol stage! On instagram, Top 24 contestant, Anilee List posted a photo of herself cuddling fellow Top 24 contestant Andrea Valles at sunset, along with the caption “in case u were wondering <3”

American Idol alums responded to the news immediately
Fellow Idols responded in comments immediately. Maddie Pope, the winner of American Idol season 16 knows a thing or two about Idol romances, as she and runner-up Caleb Lee Hutchinson have been dating since they met during their season. “Woe, Woe, Woe,” she wrote. “another American Idol love storrraayyyy!!” immediately followed by 3 red hearts. Season 16 was love match central as the 3rd and 4th place finishers, Gabby Barrett and Cade Foehner are now married, and parents of a baby girl.
Even more Idols responded, like Ada Vox from Maddie’s season who wrote, “Y’all are precious.” Makayla Phillips a season 18 Top 11 singer who competed on the recent Comeback for a Top 10 spot in the current season, posted a bunch of heart eyes and heart emojis. Olivia Ximines, also a Comeback contestant, wrote “I love y’all.” Top 12 contestant Beane wrote a spicy note, “I’m wet.” Also, Alyssa Raghu, who competed on seasons 16 and 17, wrote “y’all are the cutest omg” And Hollywood contestant, Althea Grace exclaimed, “American Idol gay love story = y’all win. (ily both heheheheheheee)”
Anilee described her Tourette diagnosis, Andrea performed in Spanish, rocked an eye patch
During her audition, Anilee described being diagnosed with Tourette syndrome at age 10 and how watching season 10 alum, James Durbin, who also deals with Tourette, motivated her to follow her dreams. Later in the episode, she got a good luck message from the rocker. Her big bluesy voice got her all the way to the Top 24.
Andrea, who previously competed on Spanish language singing shows, rocked a sparkly eye patch during the Top 24 round. The patch came after eye retina detachment surgery. During that round, she wowed with a Spanish language performance and a dynamic “Careless Whisper” duet with R&B singer Brian McKnight. She was also cut at the Top 24.
