The show kicks off with a video clip of Simon giving the contestants a pep talk. And next, it’s the obligatory time wasting 10 minute recap of last night’s performances.
Next, the 12 acts take the stage. Tyra announces the 6th, 7th and 8th place finishers, who will compete for the LIVE Dunkin Save. In danger: Aaron Crowe, Daniel Emmett and The Future Kingz. Results: Us The Duo and Hans take the stage. America has voted. The first act going into the semi-finals is…Us the Duo. NOOOOO HANS is eliminated! Come back! SOB. I know he was a joke act, but dang he was entertaining. I didn’t expect him to make the final, but the Top 24 seemed reasonable.
Next, it’s Brian King Joseph and Joseph O’Brien. The next act going into the semifinals is…Brian King Joseph! Joseph O’Brien and his giant red doiley are eliminated. At the very least, fame will bring him opportunities to lose that cherry. Or at least kiss a girl or two. So far the results are not suprising.
Next, it’s ANOTHER video package featuring Simon receiving his star on the Walk of Fame. Starring: Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, Kelly Clarkson, Camila Cabello, Susan Boyle , Darci Lynne, Grace Vanderwaal. Louis Tomlinson and more. He gets a standing ovation from the audience afterward. Simon says, with his son Eric in his lap, that it was one of the best days of his life.
After, the cast of the Carole King musical, Beautiful, take the stage to perform.

Results: Michael Ketterer, Rob Lake and Christina Wells take the stage! America has voted. The next act going into the semifinals is…Michael Ketterer. Tyra tells the remaining acts to stick around. Because one of them is through. And it is…Christina Wells. Rob Lake is eliminated.
Next, Zucaroh and UDI Dance take the stage. America has voted. The next act going into the semifinals is…Zucaroh. Not a surprise at all. UDI were pretty disappointing last night.
Time to announce the Dunkin Save. The act America put through to the semifinal is…Daniel Emmett.
Two acts remain–Aaron Crowe and The Future Kingz. Who will the judges choose? Howie is taking forever to make his pick. A producer must be telling him to stretch for time in his ear. But finally he goes with Aaron. As it should be. Aaron was mediocre last night, but his first performances were entertaining. The Future Kingz are a nice, hardworking group of kids, but nothing special.
I bet they bring Sacred Riana back as a wildcard…
