America’s Got Talent 2019 Quarterfinals concluded Tuesday night. Twelve more acts performed for the judges, Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough and Simon Cowell. After fans vote the acts through to the next round. The results will be revealed on Wednesday’s (Aug 28) results show at 8 PM on NBC.

Simon continued being unnecessarily d***ish when he buzzed Wildcard contestant Matthew Richardson. The hoop aerialist really DID try to up his game by performing his act in the rain. As he said, it was very hard to do. I get the feeling fellow producers wanted Matthew back, but Simon did not. But even if Simon never wanted Matthew as a Wildcard in the first place, he could have just dissed him after he finished. Buzzing him was uncalled for.
Also, Simon totally threw magician Eric Chien under the buss, It’s a calculated move on Simon’s part. It seems he really wants Dom Chambers to be the only magician moving on in the competition, which is why they were pitted against each other. I mean, they BROUGHT TAPE FACE BACK for Dom’s routine! Eric is a skilled close up magician, but the comparisons to AGT double winner Shin Lim are never ending.
The judges went overboard praising 10 year old opera singer, Emmane Beasha. She’s a kiddo who imitates opera singing. There’s nothing special happening there. Fellow kiddos Benicio Bryant and guitar player Marcin Patrzalek display truly unique talent. I hope they both advance.
