America’s Got Talent 2021 is down to the wire. TWO weeks of competition remain. FIVE ACTS from last night’s show (Read the Recap) will join last week’s 5 acts to move on to the finale. Next week, the Top 10 compete for the AGT prize!
Is Simon Cowell going to insist on Wednesday’s results show that tonight was the greatest night of AGT performances EVER, even after he buzzed three acts? Every buzz was unnecessary. Well, actually, maybe mentalist Peter Antoniou deserved to be buzzed, after his bit with Sofia went sideways. I don’t thing a mentalist has ever missed that embarrassingly on AGT. But while comic Kabir Singh didn’t have his best night, he wasn’t horrible. The audience did laugh at his jokes. And sure, Realcris didn’t step up their game, really. But they are probably the best hand balancing act ever on AGT. Maybe deep down Simon realizes the season is weak and he’s angry.
The best acts of the night: Brooke Simpson continues to bring it every time she hits the stage. She brings her own vibe to contemporary songs. She’s the opposite of a karaoke artist. It’s probably a little too late for Unicircle Flow, but they were VERY entertaining tonight, and performed a routine that showed off their skills. Also, the Chapkidz turned in their best routine yet. Josh Blue is a pretty funny guy, and deserves to advance, I think.
