Cheer SF – “For Your Entertainment
Still hating the shamelessly corny and horrifying America’s Got Talent! How about you? Tonight was full of the usual sub-par and/or absurd acts. The only performer I enjoyed was Michael Grimm, who is actually a pretty decent singer. I expect to see him in the finals.
The first act to take the stage on tonight’s America’s Got Talent was Cheer SF, a cheerleading squad made up of all ages and all types, dancing to Adam Lambert’s “For Your Entertainment”. The judges weren’t very impressed, so I don’t expect them to be one of the 4 acts that will advance this week.
Some pretty wacky acts this week. I mean wackier than normal, if you can believe that. There was the Indian impressionist, Ronith, whom judge Howie Mandel wanted so much to be in in the joke. But, alas he was not. Alice Tan Ridley, R&B singer and mom to Academy Award nominee, Gabby Sidibe (liked her initial audition better), wacked out opera dude, Hannibal Means and this week’s White Guy With Guitar, Michael Grimm. Check them out after the jump.
Also: Mona Sampath Dance Company, Iron Horse, The Strong Man, Wreckless, Lil Chris (kiddie act), AscenDance Company (rock climbers), Antonio Restivo (fire magician).
Did you watch tonight? Are you like me and really really hate this show? Or are you a fan (or maybe for you, it’s a guilty pleasure…)
