UPDATE: According to rumors, Clare has quit the show and will be replaced by the second Black bachelorette ever, Tayshia Adams From Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor
UPDATE 2: Clare will kick off the season, Tayshia will take over, according to sources:
“The producers have told her [Clare] that the season will still lead with Clare and her short-lived journey, and will show Clare falling in love with one of her suitors,” an E News insider shared. “Clare will then conclude her journey and announce that Tayshia is the lead.”
Bachelor official Bachelor spoiler, Reality Steve posted a Reddit rumor that reports that producers were having “a lot of problems” with Clare during filming, and that they called in Tayshia to take her place. Steve hasn’t been able to confirm the rumors…yet. Nevertheless, there is definitely something significant happening on the Bachelorette set.
“(MAJOR SPOILER): I’ve been made aware of this Reddit post making the rounds,” he tweeted. “Been on the phone for the last 2 hrs digging. I cannot confirm with 100% certainty if it’s true yet, but if you ask my opinion, I think there is some serious validity to it based on what I’m hearing now,” Steve writes on Twitter.

According to Life & Style Magazine, Clare reportedly fell for contestant Dale Moss, who won her first impression rose. The magazine reports that she found such a “deep connection” with Dale, that she threatened to quit, leaving production “blindsided.” She also reportedly refused to come out of her room to film with other contestants. So, it makes sense that production would be scrambling to cast new bachelors in a hurry.
The Bachelorette filming seems to have hit a snag, according to reports. Currently. Clare Crawley and her men are filming the season in quarantine at the La Quinta Resort, in La Quinta, California.
“Last weekend, producers reached out to backup Bachelorette contestants who had been vetted for Clare’s season but were ultimately not cast to film at La Quinta [Resort],” an insider told Us Weekly. “When producers reached back out, out of the blue, it was very apparent that something had happened with production.”
Because of the Convid-19 pandemic, instead of travelling the world as production usually does, the cast is filming at the sprawling La Quinta instead.
When the production team started “calling backup contestants and asking them to come to La Quinta within 24 hours,” the source says signs “obviously” point to something going awry during filming.” Before production officially started this month, a new group of suitors was revealed on Facebook, 20 of whom are aged 30 or older.
Reality Steve, the Bachelor spoiler, confirms what US reports. “THIS I can confirm actually did happen,” he tweeted. “Why? I have no idea. But guys who were cut and never made to night 1 were reached back out to in the last week and asked back. None have accepted as far as I’ve heard.”

ABC uploaded photos of 42 potential suitors, which were then reportedly cut down to 32. Producers brought extra guys on set in case regulars tested positive for Covid-19.
According to Reality Steve, “everybody on set will be tested either every other day or every third day through the duration of filming.” It’s possible some of the men tested positive for the virus. But if that’s so, wouldn’t that put the entire production in jeopardy? On the other hand, if the cast is quarantining together, how would Covid make it’s way on to the set? AND if men have tested positive, doesn’t that put Clare at risk? If she gets sick, it’s all over.
Keep in mind that California is back to filming movies and TV shows, amid Southern California becoming a major Covid hotspot.
