The Voice coach, Blake Shelton, and his country superstar wife, Miranda Lambert, have filed for divorce. There has been much tabloid gossip surrounding the couple over the years, but the two always put up a happy and united front.
“This is not the future we envisioned,” their representatives said in a statement to The Associated Press. “And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
Blake and Miranda married in 2011 after meeting in 2005 at the CMT’s 100 Greatest Duets Concert. Blake divorced his first wife, Kaynette Gern, in 2006.

UPDATE: TMZ reports that the couple filed divorce documents a while ago. A judge is expected to officially end the marriage today. Blake is the one who filed. There was a pre-nup. The divorce was filed in Oklahoma. Blake will get the ranch in Oklahoma and she’ll get the family home in Nashville. Miranda has been moving her show animals off the ranch in the last few days.
UPDATE: US Magazine is reporting that the divorce was, indeed, finalized today.
