Wow. Collabro, the winners of Britain’s Got Talent were just signed by Simon Cowell’s SYCO records. The boys were crowned winners of the competition only last Saturday, and they are planning to release an album on July 14! And we thought Caleb Johnson was pushing a debut record out quickly (his release date is August 12).
That’s only a little more than 5 weeks lead time! I’m thinking Simon has, at the ready, a slew of One Direction reject tunes in his back pocket. Heh.
“Collabro were worthy winners of Britain’s Got Talent,” Simon told The Sun. “I am delighted to welcome them to Syco and am looking forward to them starting work on their debut album.”
“We are so lucky and proud to join a family of amazing, talented artists and colleagues and we’re thrilled to be working with Syco in order to take Collabro to the next level,” said Collabro member, Jamie Lambert.
