American Idol runner up Caleb Lee Hutchinson dropped by Live with Kelly and Michael this morning to perform his single “Johnny Cash Heart.”
After the performance, the singer chatted with hosts Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa about his run on American Idol, including more his relationship with winner Maddie Poppe. Caleb shared that when he met her during Hollywood Week, he said to himself, “Wow, this girl’s crazy!” And then after he heard her sing, he was blown away.
Seacrest noted that the couple seemed to have compatible senses of humor. “We’re both twisted people, for sure,” Caleb quipped.
