Breaking news! Camila Cabello has left Fifth Harmony according to the remaining members of the band. A statement was released early Monday morning via the Fifth Harmony twitter account.

After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila Cabello has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. We wish her well.
You Harmonizers have been there with us since the beginning, you’ve supported us, you’ve rejoiced and cried with us, you’ve grown with us, and with your love and support, we will continue on. That being said, we are excited to announce that we will be moving forward with the four of us — Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui for our fans. We are four strong, committed women who will continue with Fifth Harmony as well as our solo endeavors.
We are excited for our future, and we can’t wait for what the new year brings.
Harmonizers, we are in this together. We love you with all of our hearts.

Camila Cabello parting ways with the group, initially put together by Simon Cowell on the FOX competition show, X Factor USA in 2012, is no surprise. The singer has embarked on two successful independent projects. First, last fall, she dropped “I Know What You Did Last Summer” with pop star Shawn Mendes. Then, earlier this year, the singer teamed up with rapper Machine Gun Kelly for the hit single “Complicated.”
Oh, and there was that time this past September when the singer left a Fifth Harmony concert early, which she apologized for via Snapchat.”Hi Missouri, sorry I couldn’t finish the set last night,” the singer wrote to her St. Louis fans. “Was having too much anxiety and couldn’t finish it. I love u. I’m truly sorry.”
The announcement of Camila’s departure comes after the quintet played their last concert of a worldwide tour at a jingle ball in Sunrise, Florida Sunday night.
