Remember Caroline Glaser, the shy indie artist from The Voice season 4? She’s got a new record out. The Team Adam member premieres her 3 song EP titled, Caroline Glaser Vol. 1, at Billboard.
The singer co-wrote two of the 3 cuts, including “Money Tree.”That’s the one I think I am most excited about probably,” she told Billboard. “Because I wanted to keep it open to interpretation for those that hear it, but it’s so relatable to the stage I’m in at this point in my life with my music.”
Caroline wrote the ‘story song” “Rosalee” with Pistol Annie’s Angaleena Presley. “I wrote that with her a few months ago in Nashville. I was so nervous going into that co-write, because I’ve never had a co-write with someone that successful before. She’s worked with everybody, but is such a sweetheart,” said Caroline.
On her The Voice experience, Caroline says, “It completely changed my life. Before that I was doing little open mic nights — 15-minute sets, with 30 to 40 people once a week at this little coffee shop in my hometown. That was as much experience as I had with performing, so ‘The Voice’ was a huge transition. It showed me that music was what I wanted to do with my life. Being able to sing in front of so many people week after week really opened my eyes.”
