Country superstar & Season 4 Idol champ Carrie Underwood had some fun joint trolling Twitter with husband Mike Fisher this afternoon, all in service of some joyous, blessed news…they are expecting their 1st child!

The prospect of a Fisherwood baby has been the subject of much tabloid fascination over the years, and Carrie has patiently and politely fielded questions from mainstream entertainment outlets & radio, not to mention a steady stream of fan tweets, about her family plans ever since she and Mike got married in July 2010. So the pair decided to have a little fun on Twitter after Carrie’s announcement.

But Carrie has blogged at her official fan club to confirm that she and her husband are in fact thrilled to be expecting a human baby, and Mike has now turned to important question of names:

Carrie’s rep confirms to People and other outlets that baby Fisher is due in spring 2015.
