Nashville Predators fans were in for a surprise before their playoff game on Monday (April 17). Carrie Underwood performed the National Anthem ahead of the hockey teams first round Stanley cup playoff against the Chicago Blackhawks.
“Please rise and welcome seven-time Grammy winner and longtime Nashville Predators fan Carrie Underwood,” the announcer said inside Bridgestone Arena. The American Idol season 4 winner sported her husband’s yellow Jersey. The singer’s husband is, of course, Predator’s captain, Mike Fisher.

After her rousing rendition of the anthem, Carrie joined Nashville mayor Megan Berry for a bit of ceremonial towel waving. Carrie may have been a good luck charm: The Predators WON the game in OT 3-2. They have taken a commanding 3-0 lead in the series. Whoo hoo Predators!
