Country music star Carrie Underwood headed to the 2021 Latin American Music Awards Thursday night (April 15) to sing a duet with Latin star David Bisbal. The two performed their bilingual collaboration “Tears of Gold” live for the first time. The song is the American Idol season winner’s first bilingual single.
Hosted by actress Jacqueline Bracamontes, the 2021 Latin AMAs aired live on Telemundo from the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida, and also featured performances from Pitbull, Maluma, Anitta, Ricky Martin and Karol G among others.
Carie and Bisbal released “Tears of Gold” back in December alongside an accompanying music video directed by Alexis Morante. The song appears on the re-release of Bisbal’s album, En Tus Planes. Like Carrie, Bisbal began his career in reality TV on a competition show called Operacion Triunfo. He’s a three-time Latin Grammy winner who has worked with Rihanna, Luis Fonsi and more.
