Casey Abrams is back playing with the Postmodern Jukebox. This time, the American Idol season 11 alum takes “Stacey’s Mom”, the 2003 hit by the power pop band, Fountains of Wayne, back to the 30s.

“Watch for an impressive bass hand-off into melodica solos midway through,” writes band leader Scott Bradlee in the You Tube notes. “Authentic 1930’s showmanship!”

Casey previously joined forces with the band to give Sam Smith’s “I’m Not the Only One”  the “Vintage New Orleans Style” treatment.

Postmodern Jukebox covers big pop hits in a New Orleans Jazz style.  Videos include NOLA style interpretations of  tunes such as “Titanium,”  (with Von Smith), “Shake it Off,” by Taylor Swift and “Anaconda” by Nicki Minaj.
