Cassadee Pope, who won season 3 of The Voice in 2012 as a member of Team Blake Shelton took the stage on NBC’s Today show on Wednesday (Feb 6). The singer performed her latest single “If My Heart Had a Heart,” a track off her latest album, Stages.
Cassadee explained to Today show host Al Roker about the new album, her second since winning The Voice, “It’s basically an album that I’ve been writing over the past year and a half–lot’s happened in my life so it just explains all the “stages” I’ve been through.”
“What a dream come true! Thank you for having me, @TODAYshow,” Cassadee wrote on Twitter.
“This is the most honest work I’ve ever done,” Cassadee also wrote on Twitter about her album Stages. “[it] takes you through the hurt, healing, freedom & hope I’ve experienced over the past 2ish years (woah) and I hope that some of you will be able to relate. If you can, let me know.”
The singer will be hitting the road beginning next month on the Maren Morris GIRL the World tour. She’ll also be headlining the CMT Next Women of Country tour in April. Check out Cassadee’s schedule HERE.
