Cheryl Burke announced on social media that she’s out of quarantine and officially cleared to return to the Dancing with the Stars ballroom.
Cheryl and her celebrity partner, Cody Rigsby tested positive for COVID-19 and were required to perform their Oct 4 Britney Week Jazz routine to “Gimme More” virtually via Zoom from their respective living rooms. (Read our recap).
“I have been officially cleared. I am back to normal. No more quarantine for me,” she said. “Unfortunately, Cody is still in quarantine, but he will be back in Los Angeles starting Friday, which means we can technically dance on both Monday and Tuesday.”
Cheryl thanked her fans: “I’m grateful that we’re healthy. Thank you guys for all your support over the past week-and-a-half or ten days. It’s been truly an emotional rollercoaster, but wouldn’t have been able to get through it without all of you guys and all of your support. I am just happy that Cody is okay, and we’re still rehearsing via Zoom as we speak.”
“You will see us both back in the ballroom,” she said, sharing that they have two dances (See Disney Week dance spoilers HERE). “We’ve got lots of work to do.”
She ended the clip asking fans for their votes. Because the two couldn’t dance together in the ballroom, the pair wound up with the lowest judges scores of the night, an 18 out of 30.

Shortly after Cheryl announced that she tested positive for COVID, the couple didn’t appear live on the Sept. 27 episode of the show. Instead, the judges and viewers scored their salsa via rehearsal footage. They earned a score of 24 out of 40.
Even after two weeks of not appearing live on the dance floor, the couple have escaped the bottom two.
Both Cheryl and Cody were fully vaccinated and contracted breakthrough cases. Cody, in fact, battled COVID for the first time earlier this year.
