Chris Daughtry Cage to Rattle Album, “Deep End” Music Video Drop

Chris Daughtry Promo 2

American Idol season 5 alum Chris Daughtry and his eponymous band have unveiled their long-awaited fifth full-length album, Cage To Rattle via 19 Recordings/RCA Records, in stores and at all digital retailers.

About the album, produced by Jacquire King (Kings Of Leon, Tom Waits, Norah Jones), Chris said, “This is a really special time for us. We feel like we bottled the spirit and energy from our early days and refined it over the last decade together on the road and making records. We didn’t take the easy way out. Instead, Jacquire really pushed us in the studio, and we worked really hard to make the album we’ve always wanted to make — It’s everything a Daughtry record should be.”

“We wanted different,” Daughtry told Billboard in a recent interview. “We hadn’t recorded anything since (2013’s) Baptized, and we hadn’t recorded anything with our new drummer (Brandon Maclin). So it was a lot of firsts, and after doing things a certain way for so long everything felt slightly fresh and different and slightly out of the comfort zone. There was that whole having to trust the process thing, and that wasn’t always easy to do. You have to step back and realize you chose to do this for a reason, and you have to trust that.”
