Kellie Pickler, Julianne Hough and Jessica Simpson were on hand this morning to announce the nominees for The Academy of Country Music Awards, broadcast live on Good Morning America from the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, TN.
Carrie Underwood was nominated for “Entertainer of the Year” with all the big boys–Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, George Strait and Keith Urban! Impressive. Congratulations Carrie…
Plus, Carrie is nominated for Top Female Vocalist, along with Miranda Lambert Heidi Newfield, Taylor Swift and Lee Ann Womack. It’ll be interesting if the crown gets passed to the mega-album selling Taylor Swift this year.
Dancing with the Stars Julianne Hough is nominated in the Top New Female Vocalist category. And Carrie Underwood’s video for “Just a Dream” was nominated as Video of the Year.
There are no Idol nominees in the Single Record, Song of the Year or Vocal Event categories.
