Cody Fry American Idol Audition – Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Watch American Idol 14 hopeful, Cody Fry, perform “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” for his American Idol 14 Nashville audition.

Cody, the son of a jingle writer, would sing the kid’s parts on his dad’s ads. He described himself as a “musician to the core.”

Cody’s doesn’t sing perfectly, but he is a compelling and original performer. His jazzy, stylized rendition of “Over the Rainbow” struck a chord with the judges, who enthusiastically advanced him to the to Hollywood.
