Dancing with the Stars returns for season 33 with NO cast changes!
It’s not a surprise, but it’s confirmed. The entire cast of Dancing with the Stars will return for season 33 in the fall.
Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro will return as hosts, reports People magazine. Check out the first DWTS promo of the season below, featuring Julianne and Alfonso taking a twirl around the dance floor. Additionally, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough will return to the judges panel.
Julianne started on DWTS as a pro dancer from 2007 to 2009. She later returned as a judge for six seasons between 2014 and 2021. She took over hosting duties last season after Tyra Banks announced she’d be leaving the show after three seasons at the helm.
Alfonso joined the show for season 31 in 2022, co-hosting alongside Tyra as host. That season, Disney made the decision to stream DWTS only on Disney+ rather than air on ABC. The following season, DWTS returned to ABC while simulcasting on the streamer.
Carrie and Bruno have served as judges since Dancing with the Stars debuted in 2005. Derek joined the judges panel in season 29 and has served in that capacity ever since. He originally performed as a pro dancer on the series from season 5 through 11. He took a break for season 12, then he returned for season 13-21 and again in season 23.
Dancing with the Stars premiers on September 17
ABC will announce the celebrity dancers and pros competing for season 33 at a later date. Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars will premiere Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+, with the episode available to stream the next day on Hulu.
