Daughtry will be performing on Oprah Tuesday, as part of her special two-day election event. According to the latest Daughtry newsletter:
The boys are back! Oprah is kicking off November with a two-day special event. On Tuesday, Nov. 4, …The Oprah Winfrey Show hosts an all-American voting party as people with different viewpoints come together for a celebration of our right to vote.
Featuring performances by the multi-platinum rock band Daughtry the live show will include …Saturday Night Live cast members, Whoopi Goldberg and Elisabeth Hasselbeck (…The View), and dueling political power couple Mary Matalin and James Carville.
Nice gig! That should be some nice exposure for Chris Daughtry and the band.
The appearance on Oprah will cap a busy election season for Daughtry. They contributed a cover of Foreigner’s “Feels Like the First Time” (available on the Daughtry Deluxe reissue) to CNN’s special report, “League of First Time Voters.” The band also performed during both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions in Denver and Minneapolis.
