David Archuleta dropped a little Valentines surprise to his fans on Wednesday (Feb 14). The American Idol season 7 alum posted a cover he filmed with pop opera singer Nathan Pacheco of Ed Sheeran and Andrea Bocelli’s version of “Perfect.”
“Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!” David wrote on Twitter. “Here’s a Valentine’s gift for all of you from my friend @NathanPacheco & me doing our cover of Ed Sheeran & Andrea Bocelli’s duet. Hope you enjoy & pass it along to someone who’s special to you! Have a “perfect” day!”
David and Nathan perform the song accompanied by piano and strings. Watch it below. David’s phrasing is lovely. To be honest, I would have enjoyed a cover of just him performing the song in English along with the classical accompaniment.
