Congratulations to Diana Degarmo. She’s been tweeting lately about going out for interviews in Los Angeles. Now we know what she’s been up to. She’s landed a part on a soap opera!
Former American Idol runner-up and Broadway baby Diana DeGarmo is headed to The Young and the Restless for a very juicy contract role! She’ll be playing Angelina, the Jersey-girl daughter of mob boss Angelo (Mike Starr). The actress-singer starts shooting the CBS soap the week of September 22 and is expected to hit the air late October.
Diana has done a ton of stage work since placing second to Fantasia Barrino on Season 3 of Idol in 2004. Some of her work included “9 to 5 the Musical”, “The Toxic Avenger”, “Hair” and “Hairspray.”
