Diana DeGarmo tweeted earlier today that she will miss tomorrow night’s Nine to Five performance in Indianapolis, IN.
“Howdy folks, sorry for the bad news, but I will be OUT of TOMORROW nights show (Friday & just Friday) due to a family emergency. I do plan to be back at the Saturday matinee & be in for the rest of the weekend. Thanks for understanding. xo, D”
According to information I received from a fan of Diana’s she’ll be missing tomorrow night’s show to attend the funeral of her estranged father, Shelton DeGarmo.
Shelton DeGarmo, age 67, of Conyers, died January 12, 2011. Shelton was a member of Philologia Masonic Lodge # 178 F. & A.M., Yaarab Shrine, Potentate Escort, Royal Order of Jesters, # 91 and the Bilikin Club. He is survived by his wife, Audrey DeGarmo, children, Chris DeGarmo, Craig DeGarmo, Christy Kill, Joseph Harvey and Diana DeGarmo, brothers, Larry DeGarmo & wife Darline, Eddie DeGarmo & wife Susan, Mike DeGarmo & wife Wanda, several aunts, uncles & cousins. Funeral Services will be held Friday January 14, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Wages & Sons Stone Mountain Chapel. Interment will be in Piggot, Arkansas. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2:00 until 4:00 pm and 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Wages & Sons Stone Mountain Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Yaarab Shrine Hospital Fund 400 Ponce de Leon Avenue Atlanta, GA 30308.
Even if they weren’t close, it’s still tough to lose your dad. Condolences go out to Diana and her family.
