The 43rd annual Kennedy Center Honors celebrated the eternally spry 92 year old TV and film legend Dick Van Dy ke Sunday night.

Among those paying tribute to the legendary actor was Dancing with the Stars pro and judge Derek Hough. He and Broadway actress Laura Osnes charmingly sang and danced their way through a performance of “Put on a Happy Face” from the Broadway show, Bye Bye Birdie. Van Dy ke starred in both the stage and movie adaption of the production.

A’cappella sensations, Pentatonix and actor Aaron Tveit. who performed a number from the classic movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, joined Derek and Laura for a rousing finale performance of “Step in Time” from Mary Poppins. In it, Van Dy ke played the lovable chimney sweep, Bert. Mary Poppins star, Julie Andrews, in addition to Bryan Cranston, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Chita Rivera and Steve Martin also paid tribute to the enduring star.

The 43rd Annual Kennedy Center Honors also celebrated Joan Baez, Debbie Allen, Garth Brooks and Midori in a two hour special that aired on CBS Sunday night (June 6).
