The first Dancing with the Stars season 27 celebrity contestant has been revealed. Nancy McKeon, the star of the classic 80’s sitcom, Facts of Life with be hitting the dance floor with pro Val Chmerkovskiy.

The announcement was made this morning (Sep 5) on ABC’s Good Morning America. Nancy thanked GMA meterologist Ginger Zee for lending her “amazing partner.” Ginger was paired with Val for the spring 2016 cycle of DWTS.
Nancy joked that Val never watched Facts of Life, but revealed the somewhat embarassing tidbit that Urkel from another 80’s show Family Matters, is “his man.” Of course, Jaleel White, the actor who played Steve Urkel, was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars season 14.
“He is awesome,” Nancy gushes about Val, “He is the most amazing partner, more patience than anybody I know, and I am so lucky.”
