DWTS Lindsay Arnold Beach Vacay During Pandemic Angers Fans

Never mind millionaire Blake Shelton singing about “Minimum Wage.” The biggest COVID-19 pandemic faux pas these days are well off celebrities Instagramming their exotic vacations.

Never mind that the CDC has asked folks to stay put to keep the disease from spreading any more than it already is, as cases, hospitalizations and deaths climb. Because celebrities have JUST GOT TO GET AWAY! Their lives are so hard. The walls of their mansions are closing in on them, don’t you know.

But let’s face it. folks with means can afford and have the clout to get coronavirus tests before and after they travel. And social distancing is no problem while staying at that fancy beach airbnb or exclusive resort.

But the rest of us? I guess we can just look on in envy, and dream of the day when one of the various vaccines become available (celebrities will have already cut the line, of course) ,allowing us to leave the house once in awhile. Or, not worry if we’re an essential worker.

Case in point! Dancing with the Stars pro dancer Lindsay Arnold posted bikini pics from a beach vacation recently, and she can’t understand why fans are being so MEAN to her. And no, they weren’t mad about her showing off how quickly she lost the baby weight after delivering only two months ago.

Instead, folks were irked that she travelled, along with husband Sam Cusick and their 2 month old daughter Sage Jill  in the midst of a worldwide pandemic, while many of us hunker down, praying not to get sick.

Among the angry comments was one who lectured her for going “on a freaking vacation with your infant baby!!! Come on!”

One person commented on her Jan. 5 “Vacation time” beach pic and noted that others around the world can’t see their families due to the COVID-19 lockdown.

Another wrote, “It’s so sad to see influencers flying and going on vacation with no worries about the virus.”

On Wednesday, Arnold responded via a post on her Instagram Story, sharing a smiling selfie while making the thumbs-up gesture. “This is my thumbs up to everyone out there who actually thinks it’s okay to comment or criticize on anyone else’s parenting. Why? Why do we do this to others? Especially people we don’t even know.”

She admits that she’s “far from perfect,” and then adds, “You don’t need to remind me of that but why don’t we use our energy instead of always looking for the negative and finding things to criticize? I’m very over it. So if that’s what you want to do on Instagram, please unfollow me and leave my kind and loving followers alone.”

It would be “kind and loving” if Lindsay could put herself in her fans shoes, maybe? Or am I being mean.
