Cheryl Burke had a scary fall during Dancing with the Stars rehearsals Sunday night.
The pro lost footing as she rehearsed with celebrity partner, Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean, resulting in a nasty head slam against the ballroom floor.
“Cheryl and I were practicing during stage rehearsal and it did not go well,” her partner, AJ said in the clip. “It happened so fast, I just heard her head hit the floor.” Watch the accident below. The sound of Cheryl’s head slamming is pretty awful.

A medic was called and examined Cheryl on the scene, People confirmed, and the dancer was advised to take the rest of the day off. Cheryl’s ability to dance tonight was up in the air. But this afternoon, the dancer confirmed that she will be well enough to dance with A.J. tonight.
“Yesterday, I took a hard fall while rehearsing for #VillainsNight. It’s one of those things that can happen in a split second,” Cheryl wrote on social media. “Thankfully, I have the best partner I could ask for that was there to pick me up off the ground. Keeping our fingers crossed for only planned mishaps during the show tonight!!”
