Emmy ratings are UP versus last year, although viewers tuned out as the night wore on. UPDATE: An update reveals the Emmy Awards were up +33% in Viewers and +26% in Adults 18-49 from last year.
It posted its best delivery in viewers since Sept. 18, 2005 (on CBS and when it did not air against football on NBC) and its best deliveries in adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 since 2006 (when it aired in August on NBC).
UPDATED: According to time-zone adjusted fast nationals, the Emmy Awards earned a 4.9 adults 18-49 rating and 17.63 million viewers. Last year’s ceremony earned a 3.8 in the time-zone adjusted fast nationals
On CBS, the Primetime Emmy Awards earned a preliminary 4.3, up a full ratings point from last year’s preliminary 3.3 adults 18-49 rating. Last year’s program was later adjusted up to a 3.9 adults 18-49 rating.
