According to E Online, Kelly Rowland will appear on the smash FOX show, Empire, this fall, playing Lucious Lyon’s (Terrence Howard) mother in a flashback.
Last month, the former X Factor judge hung out with Empire screenwriters, causing speculation that she may make an appearance on the show.

Empire’s second season is set to debut on Sept. 23. Additional guest stars include Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys and Marisa Tomei. Magic Mike XXL actor, Adam Rodriguez, is set to play Cookie’s (Tariji P. Henson) new love interest.
