American Idol season 3 winner, Fantasia Barrino, has been pretty busy on twitter waxing poetic about her boyfriend Kendall Taylor. And showing off a giant rock that he gave her. Looks like an engagement ring to me! There has been no official announcement, however.
Fantasia instagrammed a photo of the couple on a weekend getaway, with the caption, “God….. I Thank You!!! He’s Everything I Prayed For… To Feel Protected and To Have Someone To Cover Me In Prayer.. To Believe when I don’t Believe.. Man!!! This Weekend has me So Ready To Bring An Album They’ve Never Heard From Me.. I Love You Kendall Taylor…”
…and she instagrammed a pretty sweet looking ring. with this caption, “So He said: I want to get you the Ring of Your Dreams.. I want you to Look down and smile knowing your mine and you deserve this.. I’m NOT A material girl and it could have been a ring out the Bubble Gum Machine but Just Continue to give me the Love you give to me Big Daddy… He said: I know but as your King THIS is what I want for my Queen”
Hm. Looks like an engagement ring to me! According to Radar Online, Kendall Taylor has a long criminal rap sheet:
According to North Carolina Department of Public Safety documents obtained by Radar, Taylor was arrested for possessing a weapon on a school campus, a felony, when he was just 16 years old in 1996. He was convicted and placed on probation.
Four years later, he was arrested for assaulting a female— twice— and again was convicted and sentenced to probation.
In 2003, he was convicted of possession of a firearm by a felon, and in 2007, he was convicted of Schedule VI drug possession.
But the good news. He’s apparently turned his life around, mentoring boys and men who are offenders through the MOVE program in Charlotte, NC. So maybe Fantasia has really finally found her “king.” Let’s hope her chooser is finally fixed.
