When you’re hot, you’re hot – Trent Harmon – “The first two weeks after the show was over, we did lots and lots and lots of radio,” Harmon said. “Lots of press – that’s what we’re going to do the next few months. I show up and sing ‘Falling’ and try to get them to play ‘Falling’ on their station.” Harmon has been at home in Nashville and he still hears from the American Idol judges. Harry Connick Jr. gave Harmon a quick phone call but had to leave a message when Harmon was airborne and out of reach. “He left me one of the nicest voice mails I’ve ever gotten in my life. It was a two or three minute voicemail. He said, ‘you can sing, obviously you can sing but I’m really proud of how you handled yourself on the show and I’ve kept up with your interviews and how you’re answering questions. That’s just as important as the musical aspect. And he’ll be headlining the upcoming Tupelo Elvis Festival the first week of June. But Harmon has his eyes on a annual event that takes place a bit later in the summer – the Miss Mississippi pageant. His younger sister, Randi Kathryn Harmon, will be competing for the coveted crown. Before he competed in American Idol he told his little sister what he really wanted. – Read more at Clarion Ledger
