“Something In The Water” comes at an interesting time in country radio, a place often thought of as a natural home to religious themes, but which hasn’t seen much any of them during the bro-country years. But it is in a lot of ways a fitting lead single for her upcoming Greatest Hits: Decade #1 album, due 12/9, especially when you consider how joyous a time this is in Carrie and her husband Mike Fisher’s life, and the fact that Carrie’s 1st official single to country radio was a faith-based song (the Grammy-winning, 6-week country #1, double platinum-plus selling “Jesus Take The Wheel”).
What do you think of “Something In The Water,” and do you think it will be a hit on country radio?
