Returning American Idol judge and country superstar Keith Urban releases his 7th solo studio album, Fuse, next Tuesday, 9/10, and you can stream the full album at Itunes now! The album features duets with Miranda Lambert (“We Were Us,” the next single from the album) and Eric Church (“Raise ‘Em Up,” which is by far the album’s best cut in my opinion).

Fuse is Keith Urban’s effort to further push country music’s boundaries by “fusing” synthetic elements with acoustic elements and mashing up pop, rock, and country into each song. Keith tells Billboard
“It was just sort of finding that yin and yang. I always feel like if you take a song like ‘Even the Stars Fall 4 U,’ I want to take what’s sort of an inherently rural-lyric song and then say, ‘Let’s not treat it like a rural song in its production. Let’s go a different way with it.’ I couldn’t have done that production on a more pop sounding song, because it just would have been yin and yin, which doesn’t interest me.”
“Even The Stars Fall [text speak]” isn’t really what I’d call a rural song but there are other rural/country songs on Fuse where you can hear what Keith is describing here.
