With the success of “I Hope” on country radio American Idol 2018 2nd runner-up Gabby Barrett is revealing another side of her life with a brand new song “The Good Ones,” released on Warner Music Nashville and available everywhere.

Written by Gabby with Emily Landis, Jim McCormick and Zachary Kale, the song’s romantic lyric and uplifting melody were inspired by The American Idol alum’s very own “good one,” fiancé and fellow Idol alum Cade Foehner.

“He’s a phone call to his parents/He’s a bible by the bed” go the lyrics, “He’s the t-shirt that I’m wearing/He’s the song stuck in my head/He’s solid and he’s steady…/One of the good ones/He’s one of the good ones”

“When people ask me about Cade, how he’s doing or how we’re doing, I always end up saying, “oh he’s great, he’s a keeper, he’s a good one,” Gabby said from a press release, “That’s where the song came from – appreciating what I’ve got and what he means to me.”

Continuing to write with Nashville hitmakers Josh Osborne, Josh Kear, David Garcia, Jon Nite, Zachary Kale, and more, “The Good Ones” teases Gabby’s upcoming album debut, produced by Grammy-nominated Ross Copperman.

This summer, Barrett will take on festival dates opening for Jake Owen, Toby Keith, Chris Lane, Jimmie Allen and more, plus headline her own shows. Check out her schedule with ticket information HERE.
