Court documents filed by the estranged wife of Gleb Savchenko reveals the salary he earns as a pro on Dancing with the Stars.
Elena Samodanova filed for divorce on December 22, one month after she and Gleb announced they were separating after 14 years of marriage. The estranged pair have two children, daughters Olivia, 10, and Zlata, 3. According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Elena is seeking primary custody of the children, as well as child support, spousal support and compensation of legal fees.
Gleb refused to pay child support without a court order, Elena says in her court filing
“As set forth in the declaration of [Samodanova], she has been focused and responsible for ensuring [the] health, safety, and welfare of the children since birth,” Elena stated in her court filing. “The parties attended mediation in an effort to resolve the issues prior to the filing of this action. While the parties reached an agreement on several issues, [Savchenko] refused to pay child or spousal support without a court order.”
Gleb’s DWTS salary is just over 400K
Elena believes her estranged husband is capable of providing both child and spousal support because he “earns an approximate annual salary of $406,614” from his work on Dancing With the Stars, or $33,884 per month.
In the filing, Elena claims to be unemployed. Her “only source of income” is from the dance studio she co-owns with Gleb. The studio “generates $37,250 annually,” or $3,105 per month, but has been closed since February due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The pair’s official date of separation is listed as December 1 after they attended a mediation session. “While we were able to reach an agreement on several issues, we did not reach an agreement on a parenting plan, child support, spousal support and legal fees,” the documents state.
Elena objects to Gleb crashing at a friend’s “bachelor pad”
Elena claims that Gleb has been “crashing with a friend” in a “bachelor” pad since their split. She doesn’t consider it a safe environment for their children and requested “continued primary physical custody of the children with visitation to [Savchenko], until such time as he secures appropriate housing for himself and the children.”

Elena’s filing ends a year of a very gossipy and public split between the two. At one point, fans speculated that Gleb and Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause were seeing each other. The two were partners on DWTS before Chrishell was eliminated. But as it turns out, Chrishell was in the midst of her own DWTS romance with pro Keo Motsepe. He was partnered with celebrity Anne Heche.
“We’ve had problems for years,” Gleb told Entertainment Tonight of his estranged wife. “I was in a mentally abusive, jealous relationship. … The thing is, I’ve never actually cheated on her. Never, ever, ever.”
