Official FOX Summary for “Sweet Dreams” Episode 19
NeNe Leakes (“The New Normal) and Idina Menzel (“Wicked”) Return in their Guest Roles
When the New Directions find out this year’s Regional’s theme is “Dreams,” everyone has their own opinion as to what they should sing. Meanwhile, the day has finally come for Rachel to audition for the Broadway revival of “Funny Girl” on an all-new “Sweet Dreams” episode of GLEE airing on Thursday, Apr. 18 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (GLE-419) (TV-14 D, L, S)

UPDATE: NeNe Leakes character, Roz, takes over the Glee Club in the wake of Sue Sylvester’s firing. Check out new photos in the gallery below. Becky is still in the picture next week.
Rachel’s mom (Idina Menzel) comes back to help with her Funny Girl audition. We’ll also meet a Broadway producer in 4×19 who could be sticking around for awhile.
UPDATE: When Rachel sings “Don’t Stop Believing” at her Funny Girl audition, the rest of original New Directions appear in her imagination to support her. The arrangement is a bit different, but the number is staged EXACTLY the same. By the end of the audition, she realizes that Finn is the one who has always been in her corner. Finchel is forever! Click for the Source.
Also Glee will once again nod to the past, as the song Rachael (Lea Michele) chooses to audition with is Don’t Stop Believing by Journey!!! It’s the iconic song New Directions sang in the Glee pilot episode. How awesome is that? ETA: The performance will include the original New Directions, according to tweets from Lea and Ryan!

In the meantime, Finn (Cory Monteith) seems to be taking Marley’s advice to heart. Somehow, he’s back in college. Or maybe he’s just visiting colleges in order to begin the application process? But, this is Glee world, so who knows!
Perhaps you read this TV Line spoiler about Kurt and Adam being invited to join a fraternity? WRONG WRONG WRONG.
Actually, the fraternity part is right. But the characters involved are actually Finn and Puck. The two are invited to join a college fraternity after they “save the day” by singing a duet after the stereo is broken. To get the deets, watch this actor auditioning for a part in the episode. Ausiello was probably confused by the guys calling the pledges gay.
Also, photos have surfaced of Cory Monteith filming scenes at Occidental College in Los Angeles. You knew it was coming. Glee is filming a big Harlem Shake scene HERE. This photo may have something to do with that. More college scenes HERE and HERE. Looks like frat house scenes are being shot HERE.
UPDATE: In episode 19, Sweet Dreams, Marley writes an original song for Regionals. AUDIO OF FULL SONG.

Episode 18, set to air on April 11, is titled “Shooting Star” and will involve a gun incident at McKinley. The kids hear a gunshot in school, and panic ensues. There are no NYC scenes in this episode and only THREE songs. I smell a “very special episode.” Also, Brittany believes an asteroid is coming, and that the world is coming to an end. Girlfriend obviously has an end times fixation!
UPDATE: Ryan Murphy tweets, “Just saw the rough cut of next week’s “Shooting Star”. It is the most powerful emotional Glee ever. So proud of the cast & crew.”
Ryder will sing “Your Song” to his online love interest, Katie.
GleeZone Summary:
As New Directions prepare for Regionals, a few of the gleeks are distracted by Astronomy Club President Brittany’s prediction that a meteor (or perhaps it’s a comet, or maybe an asteroid) will strike Lima.
For their weekly assignment, Will gives the kids the theme “Last Chance” in the hopes their fear of the impending (albeit improbable) disaster will inspire them to live each day as if it could be their last. While Will’s lesson plan has the residual effect of prompting a heartfelt and unexpected confession from Coach Beiste, its premise suddenly takes on new meaning when the school is immersed in a terrifyingly real event.
Meanwhile, when Ryder discovers, much to his delight, that Katie – the girl he’s been communicating with strictly via text message – is a student at McKinley, he decides to initiate the next step in their relationship.
Here’s the Official FOX summary:
