And for those of you who are American Idol scholars, you may remember Samuel as a very popular Hollywood contestant during American Idol season 9. So many fans were disappointed when he was cut, but better things were definitely to come for the young singer. Little did we know!
Samuel plays the somewhat flakey, but open-minded Christian high school student, Joe Hart, on the FOX musical dramedy.
