And the Glee tribute episodes keep rolling on in? This could just be a rumor, but knowing Ryan Murphy and his love for things bigger than life, I could totally see this happening.
According to gossip columnist Liz Smith, Glee is planning a tribute to the legendary rock opera, Tommy.
Now we hear that “Glee” producer Ryan Murphy plans a lavish remake of “Tommy” for the hit Fox show that has lost a little of its heat recently. The “Tommy” episode, if it happens, will no doubt run longer than the usual hour. It’s hard to imagine something as epic as “Tommy,” cut down.
Roger Daltrey, who can still look awfully good in skin-tight denim, and Pete Townsend are expected to make appearances.
So, we’ve already had a tribute to Michael Jackson, which was supposed to be the only tribute of the season. Coming up are Saturday Night Fever and Whitney Houston themed episodes set to air after the hiatus. Now, Tommy too? There are only 8 episodes left in the season. One is a double ep on May 15. Maybe that’ll be the Tommy tribute?
If this happens it will be interesting to see how the producers shoe horn the theme into upcoming storylines that are supposed to revolve around the kids graduating and anticipating their post-Glee lives.
