Harry Connick Jr. tweeted a snarky response to Mariah Carey after she revealed in a recent radio interview that sitting on the American Idol judges panel was like “going to work with Satan everyday.”
Harry must have thought better of the tweet, as it can no longer be found on his twitter page. (I snagged it from an E News report.)
Instead, he posted a much milder quip, ribbing his fellow Idol judge, Keith Urban:

I have no doubt the atmosphere on that panel has done a 189 since Minaj and Carey are gone. I’m sure Harry speaks the truth.
UPDATE: After the original, deleted tweet went viral, Harry rewrote the original sentiment, with a softer follow up. Harry should know now that once a tweet is out there, it’s out there forever.
