With 68.48% of sales reports in, J. Cole is set to slide up into the number one spot with just 60K in sales. I guess everybody was too busy enjoying the fireworks to buy albums. Wale switches spot with J and moves from first to second. The highest debut of the week should be Joe with his “Evolution of R&B” (I’m going to go ahead and assume that Joe is an R&B artist without checking wiki). Florida Georgia Line has been ever-present in the top 5 these last few weeks, and this week they are at fourth.
Voice judge Blake Shelton is 5th with his “Based on a True Story”. New-daddy Kayne is 6th, Bruno Mars is 7th, Darius Rucker is 8th and Imagine Dragons is 9th. I guess compilation albums go with potato salad because Now 46 sees a surge in sales to 10th. It features X-Factor’s One Direction and Olly Murs.
Fantasia leads the charge for American Idols as “Side Effects of You” is currently 30th. Phil Phillips also returns to the top 50 with “World from the Side of the Moon” at 48th.
