Cook: It seems to me that lyrics have become a little less important. I had the opportunity to move to Nashville a few years ago and I found that some of the greatest storytellers are here. I miss the storytelling across genres. It’s a bit more prevalent in country than in a lot of popular music. TC’s Joshua Davis to release first new recording since ‘The Voice’ – Traverse City singer-songwriter Joshua Davis has announced that he’ll be releasing his first new recording since finishing third on NBC’s “The Voice” last year. Davis plans to release a new seven-inch record — on vinyl and in digital formats — that features two new original songs recorded in Ann Arbor last fall. The songs “Always Going to Be Here” and “Let Me In” will be released in early April. The announcement came the same day that Davis performed at a political rally for Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders in Traverse City. Donald Trump Supports Ex-Wife Marla Maples on Dancing with the Stars: ‘I’m Very Happy for Her’ – Donald Trump is wishing his second wife Marla Maples well as she competes on Season 22 of Dancing with the Stars. “I think it is wonderful. I am very happy for her and think she will do very well,” Trump, 69, says in a statement to PEOPLE. Before he was a 2016 presidential candidate, the real estate mogul and Maples, 52, were married for six years. ‘The Passion’ Stars Prince Royce and Chris Daughtry on Replacing Prayers With Pop Hits in the Fox Biblical Musical – Another initial nonbeliever: the guy playing Judas. “When I first was approached, I wasn’t interested,” says Daughtry, 36. Was it the role? “No. I don’t know if Anders thought I look like an asshole who would betray his best friend, but it’s exciting to play a bad guy — that was a selling point.
