Fire Fight Australia All-Star Concert Raises Almost $10M For Bushfire Relief – Fire Fight Australia raised close to A$10 million ($6.7 million) for good causes and exceeded all expectations, say organizers of the historic concert Sunday (Feb. 16) in Sydney’s west. Spanning nine-and-a-half hours, the all-star event was also a rating hit, drawing more than 1.5 million viewers across its domestic broadcast partners, the Seven Network and Foxtel. The final line-up at ANZ Stadium featured 23 acts, from local lads 5 Seconds of Summer to internationals Queen + Adam Lambert, Alice Cooper and K.D. I didn’t really start thinking about a second album until a month or two ago. I had been writing pretty frequently since we finished recording the first album in July. [Producer] Chris Schlarb was the one to kind of throw it out there. He said, “Next time we record we should do something that’s a little different. Not so long and involved.” We had a full orchestra and a choir. We had a few different ensembles on that record. We wanted to do something a little simpler and faster.
