Headlines: JoJo Cast in CW Series, Mickey Guyton Meets a Prince

The Masked Singer alum JoJo Joins CW Series All American in a Recurring Role – Singer-songwriter and actress JoJo is joining the CW’s All American in a recurring role that is somewhat reminiscent of her real life, reports Deadline. The singer and Masked Singer alum will play “Sabine, a world famous recording artist who’s been making music since she was 10 years old. In search of a new sound, she decides to collaborate with Layla (Greta Onieogou) on her next album, putting her trust in the up and coming young music producer. Sabine is a rare talent who knows what she wants, and has the name and reputation to make it happen.” She’ll make her first appearance on February 21. She competed on The Masked Singer season 5 as Black Swan in 2021 and finished in 2nd place behind “Piglet” Nick Lachey.

Mickey Guyton meets Prince Harry at the Super Bowl

Country singer and American Idol alum Mickey Guyton sang the National Anthem at Super Bowl LVI on Sunday (Feb 13) which took place in Englewood, Calif. Tons of celebrities attended the event, but Mickey posts about meeting someone more than famous. He’s Royalty! “I Met Prince Harry. He was just lovely,” Mickey writes. “I even curtsied in my track suit.” The prince, who is married to actress Meghan Markle,  lives in the Los Angeles area after a rift with his family resulted in giving his UK Royal duties. 

Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer & Regina Hall To Host Oscars – The news will be announced officially on Good Morning America tomorrow (Feb 15) but Variety is reporting that comedians Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer and Regina Hall are finalizing deals to host the 94th Oscars, which is bringing back hosts for the first time since 2018. On Sunday, Schumer posted a lengthy Instagram slideshow with some of her biggest career highlights, with the ominous caption “Big fun news comin.’”

Chris Mann cast in supporting role in Pam and Tommy – The Voice season 2 alum, Chris Mann has a supporting role in Pam and Tommy, the Hulu biopic about the famous couple and their trials and tribulations. The classical singer plays Mick Mars. The Wrap describes the part, “Mick Mars may not be quite as big of a household name as Nikki Sixx or Tommy Lee, but he’s just as important to Motley Crue. He founded the band alongside Sixx, and served as lead guitarist.” In case you didn’t know, Motley Crue was a wildly popular hair metal band back in the 89s and 90s. Pam Anderson was a model and actress. A man working in their home stole a sex tape. The film is about the fallout and more. The series is playing on Hulu.com now.
