I remember being the loudest one out there, opening my mouth, singing that and I remember a lot of the producers stopped and turned my way. I didn’t know if that was because I was loud and obnoxious or onto something. It was a pretty unforgettable moment. – Read more at Forbes
Season 8 winner of The Voice, Sawyer Fredericks, brings Hide Your Ghost tour to Calgary – Last year, he released the haunting, stripped-down Hide Your Ghost independently, an album he says is far more representative of the type of music he wants to play. “For A Good Storm I did a whole bunch of co-writing for that and the label wanted some other styles on the album,” says Fredericks. “That was one of the reasons why I went independent to create this album. I’ve written and produced this whole thing and definitely had way more freedom to produce the songs the way I wanted to.” “I mostly wanted to show my audiences what kind of musician I am,” he says. “That’s one of the things that didn’t get portrayed on the show or even A Good Storm album: my original work. I wanted to release something that could really show that and support it.” – Read more at CalgaryHerald.com
