David Archuleta to Appear on “Ariel and Zooey’ show
David Archuleta will be a guest star on a brand new kids’ TV show called Ariel & Zoey (Eli, too). The show is set to air in September but a segment with David has already been pre-taped. You can see a small snip of David being interviewed by Ariel, Zoey, and Eli in this trailer for the show, at the 0:38 through 0:52 marks.

Former British newspaper editor turned TV personality Piers Morgan is close to finalizing his deal to replace iconic talk show host Larry King, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

America’s Got Talent, has been negotiating with CNN for weeks and the $10 million deal is all but inked, according to a source familiar with the situation.

Matt Giraud to perform with Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra at Taste of Kalamazoo
KALAMAZOO — “American Idol” finalist Matt Giraud and the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra will team up to perform at the 25th annual Taste of Kalamazoo.
The Taste will be held from July 22-24 at the Arcadia Creek Festival Place.
Giraud and the KSO, which will be celebrating its 90th anniversary season with summer concerts and more events beginning in the fall, will play at 9 p.m. July 24 at the Taste.
Katharine McPhee helped assemble 150, 000 meals at the “Target Party for Good” on June 29, at Basketball City – Pier 36 – South Street, as part of the 2010 National Conference on Volunteering and Service. The meals will be donated to the Food Bank For New York City to help feed New York City families in need this summer.
Jordin Sparks gives DFW kids a note of praise for their work
DALLAS — She is an American Idol, and on Tuesday, she became a North Texas idol as well.
Jordin Sparks, who won the popular TV competition in 2007 when she was only 17, invited two teams of elementary school students from the North Texas Super Bowl Host Committee’s SLANT 45 initiative to a sound check at the House of Blues, where she performed Tuesday night.
Sparks chose the Fort Worth and Frisco teams to represent the dozens of projects that kids have adopted as part of SLANT 45, which encourages young people to give back to their community.
“Thank you for coming out, ” she said from the stage. “This is going to be a lot of fun, and I am so excited and happy you came.”
Larry King Wants to Pass Torch to Ryan Seacrest
With Larry King announcing his departure from “Larry King Live, ” resumes are surely to be flooding into the CNN offices for the vacant seat. The retiring host told guest Bill Maher on Tuesday’s show that he hopes Ryan Seacrest’s name is in the mix.
Upon being prompted by Maher to come forth with a recommended successor, King replied, “I can’t be objective because I don’t know his feelings, his interest in politics. But Ryan Seacrest…He is curious. He is interesting. He is likable.”
King did stress his concern that he was unsure where Seacrest stands in political awareness. The “Larry King Live” show welcomes guests from all sorts of headlines, political and entertainment. “If he has a great interest in politics, I would recommend him, ” asserted King.

Kristi Yamaguchi, Gilles Marini, Evan Lysacek, Mario Lopez and Sabrina Bryan will serve as rotating hosts for a 14-city tour of Ballroom with a Twist, to launch with a performance on July 14 at the Clayton Opera House in Clayton New York. Dancing with the Stars’ Louis van Amstel has conceived and directed the production.
The company for the tour will feature Mark Ballas, Cheryl Burke, Jonathan Roberts & Anna Trebunskaya along with an ensemble of dancers from shows such as So You Think You Can Dance, High School Musical – The Movie, Dance Your Ass Off, and Dancing With The Stars.Vocals will be provided by American Idol alumni David Hernandez and Trenyce.
Simon Cowell plans party to show love for fiancée Mezhgan Hussainy
If you’d mentioned the words dinner party to Simon Cowell a few years ago he’d have shuddered at the idea.
But now the millionaire is so head over heels in love he’s throwing his first ever couples-only supper to show his affection for fiancée Mezhgan Hussainy.
The domestic U-turn came as Cowell and Mish, 37, were reunited after six weeks apart.
