David Archuleta — A Day in the Life
AOL Music spent the day with David Archuleta when he was in New York City promoting his new album The Other Side of Down a few weeks ago. Check out the interview with David, the video below and a gallery of photos HERE.
“If you make one decision versus another, there’s always going to be something you miss and sometimes I think I let that get to myself, ” he admitted. “But I just feel happy that I’m going this way because music is always something I was able to connect to more than people were able to understand in school. There were people who love music there, but it was so hard because I wasn’t good at sports. I wasn’t in those genius clubs where all my friends were. It was like, ‘Where do I fit in?'”

Exclusive Interview with Casey James, Part Two
In the second part of my interview with newly signed Sony/BNA artist Casey James, the conversation turns to the guitar. That’s not surprising considering it’s practically an extension of his arm. Whether it’s new guitar arrangements for classic songs such as John Lennon’s Jealous Guy, slinging two guitars during a duet with Bret Michaels, or jamming on stage during the American Idol Live tour, Casey has received as much attention for his impressive guitar skills as his singing.

‘Idol’ worshippers march on Hyannis
HYANNIS — Zombies mingled with bumblebees. Corpse brides rocked out with superheroes. Witches and skeletons howled out approval. And they all cheered for Siobhan Magnus.
The Hyannis Village Green morphed Sunday into a macabre tribute to Magnus, the Marstons Mills native who turned heads with her singing prowess on “American Idol” earlier this year.
The Cape star, known for her daring fashion style on the show, didn’t disappoint. With black combat boots and Medusa headgear, Magnus burst out of a black coffin onto the stage.

“Thanks for getting spooky, ” she told the crowd.
The “March of the Horribles, ” a four-hour Halloween-themed bash, packed the green with people, many of whom doffed scary and creative costumes. The event, organized by the town of Barnstable and the Barnstable High School drama club, served as both a community party and a chance to thank Magnus for her performance on “American Idol.”

Patti LuPone Dishes About Women on the Verge, Rockers on Broadway & More
Give us the scoop on [American Idol alum] Justin Guarini as your son.
Oh, he is adored! I don’t know how much acting he’s done, but he’s very, very talented. He’s smart as a whip, he adapts instantly and he’s unbelievably sweet. Laura [Benanti] and I do the most with him, and we told him today how much we adore him. We were waiting to go on, and we both turned to him and said, “You don’t know how much we love you.”
That’s a real compliment, because the two of you would tell him the truth.
We absolutely would! Laura actually said that to him. She said, “If we didn’t like you, you’d know it.” [Laughs.]

Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani’s Rumba to Be ‘Like Making Love’
This week my partner Tony Dovolani and I are doing the rumba. The dance is similar to the Argentine tango, except without the lifts and tricks. It’s very passionate, sensual and sultry. Tony calls it the dance of love and says the emotion should be like making love on the dance floor – which is a little awkward and weird! I’m definitely still getting used to it. Thankfully, our Argentine tango last week was very up close and personal, so that kind of prepared me for this.
