‘American Idol’ Burning Questions: Who’s Throwing the Girls Under the Bus? – How many songs were really on the one-hit wonder list? Candice Glover reveals that there were only 15 choices. “I’m not sure ‘I’m Too Sexy’ was on the list,” she laughed. Was it awkward for Candice Glover to have Jimmy Iovine and Nicki Minaj on the stage arguing about her? “I didn’t know what was going on,” she said after the show, still flummoxed. “Jimmy came behind the walls so I just stepped aside and let them have their little argument.” “I don’t really know what he means,” she said. “I heard a comment about The Hunger Games, I heard about us being crazy and if I was in that position I wouldn’t act like that, so boys are on one bus and girls are on another. – Read more at The Hollywood Reporter

Jessica Sanchez talks new album, ‘Glee’ – Last year, the diminutive young singer with the very big voice rose from obscurity to earn second-place honors on “American Idol.” The Chula Vista native became, at least for one TV season, a new American sweetheart. Now, with her debut album due out today, Jessica, 17, is beginning a far more demanding competition to capture the hearts, ears and dollars of a notoriously fickle national pop-music audience. Rather than vie against such already nearly forgotten 2012 “Idol” competitors as Joshua Ledet and Hollie Cavanagh, she’ll be competing for radio airplay and iTunes sales against some of the biggest names in pop music. – Read more at UT San Diego

We watched all those shows. And you see, 15, 20,000 people standing outside in lines. I’m like, ‘There’s no way I’m going to stand in those lines. No. Not gonna happen.'” – Read more at Seattle PI
Even ‘American Idol’s Nigel Lythgoe Gets Weary of Product Placement – American Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe said tonight he gets “sick to some degree of the (product) integration because (other) people have a different idea of what integration means. Viewers have reacted to what they perceive as inappropriate acts on the show, and also to the fact that some current contestants have previously appeared on TV. Cowell took to Twitter on Sunday to address the latter complaints, saying, “We try and have a no rules policy on the show… Would it be right to say to someone who has appeared on a show before you can’t audition?” Referring to BGT‘s biggest breakout star, he added, “I believe Susan Boyle had appeared on another tv show years ago. Nothing happened. Bgt gave her another go. Is that wrong? I am not whining. Simply wanted to explain there is no hush hush plot. Jason Aldean to divorce wife of 12 years – “This is a really tough time for my entire family,” Aldean said in a statement Monday. “Jessica and I have been together since we were teenagers. We’ve been through a lot of ups and downs over the years as we grew up together as a couple. She will always be important to me because she is the mother of my children, and I know that we will both always make our daughters our number-one priority. I’ve learned that everyone always rushes to judgement when they hear news like this. That’s really hard because no one knows anything about our relationship but us. I understand that because of my job, I have to go through a lot of this in the public eye, but for my girls’ sake I really wish people would give us some level of privacy and at the very least be respectful of them.” – Read more at USA Today
