2015 CMT Music Awards: Reba, Darius Rucker Added to Show – The 2015 CMT Music Awards got even bigger with the additions of Reba and Darius Rucker to the list of performers. It marks Reba’s first performance on the show in 10 years. The CMT Music Awards premieres live Wednesday (June 10) at 8 p.m. ET/PT from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Just-announced presenters include Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Aloe Blacc, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Billy Ray Cyrus, Brett Eldredge, Cassadee Pope, Nashville star Charles Esten, Cole Swindell, David Spade, Hunter Hayes, Jana Kramer, actress Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Rayvon Owen to throw first pitch at Squirrels game on Saturday – “American Idol” finalist and former Richmonder Rayvon Owen will appear at the Richmond Flying Squirrels game this Saturday. Owen will throw out the first pitch prior to the game and is scheduled to sing “God Bless America” during the seventh inning stretch. I was playing on the first of January. And I think I slept in my own bed at this point probably about 10 times. Q: Have you been in touch with your coach Blake Shelton after “The Voice”? ‘American Idol’ finalists, Como Brothers Band to perform at Durfee – FALL RIVER — The final concert of the B.M.C Durfee High School year will feature an up-and-coming brother duo, an “American Idol” finalist and a surprise guest. The Como Brothers Band and “American Idol” finalist Sam Woolf will be taking the stage at Durfee on Tuesday, June 16. Woolf, who finished in fifth place in 2014 in Season 13 of the Fox TV series, said he never expected to get as far as he did on the show. “It was very stressful and busy, but I learned a lot that year,” Woolf said. Woolf, who now lives in Nashville, will be moving to Boston for a few years at the end of the summer on a scholarship to Berklee College of Music, where he’s hoping to get into the song-writing program. – Read more at Herald News
